Loisaba is located within a private wildlife conservancy and working cattle ranch north of Mt. Kenya in Laikipia. Constructed from stone, local timber and thatch and set overlooking a waterhole visited by a stream of wildlife, Loisaba offers an active wilderness experience in a private and tranquil setting. The lodge has a large swimming pool, spa, tennis court and croquet lawn and guests can go horse riding, biking and quad biking. Its seven rooms each have an ensuite bathroom and windows that open onto a private deck with a wide view of the Laikipia plains. A particularly imaginative attraction is a stay at the Kiboko Star Beds overlooking a waterhole or the Koija Star Beds which overlook the Ewaso Nyiro River. Each Star Bed is designed in a raised wooden platform that is partially covered with a thatched roof. A self-contained private luxury house with two bedrooms and a cliff-top swimming pool as well as a private exclusive cottage with a river view from the bathroom and a lovely garden view from the main sitting area are other alternatives for accomodation at Loisaba.
