HOTEL NAME: Asara Wine Estate & Hotel

The name Asara has been derived from the names of the ancient African gods of the earth, sun and sky - Astar, Asis and Asase - to reflect the harmony in nature which is concentrated in each and every bottle of wine.
Asara Wine Estate and Hotel, a member of the prestigious world-renowned Relais & Chateaux group, lies just outside of Stellenbosch, within direct line of sight of False Bay and, protected by the surrounding mountains and cooled by the ocean breezes, enjoys some of the wineland's best soils and climate for the growing of fine wines.
All 67 rooms and suites are spread over three buildings across the Estate, with each building designed in such a way as to maximize the views of the surrounding vineyards and mountains.
Each room has an en-suite bathroom with bath and/or shower, mini bar, hairdryer, television, electronic safe, tea/coffee making facility and a balcony or veranda. Some rooms lead onto a small courtyard.
Asara offers different venues throughout the estate including the main Asara restaurant, Raphael's, an exclusive fine dining section, the more informal Bistro & Tapas Bar as well as our Sansibar Cocktail & Whisky Lounge. Both the restaurants offer the option of al fresco dining and boast spectacular views with their tranquil waterside setting, backed by the grandeur of the Stellenbosch and Helderberg mountains and vineyards.
Business facilities include a fax machine and Internet-enabled PC. A small "delicatessen"- and lifestyle shop are situated on the premises. Activities include a wine tasting centre, swimming pool with views onto the vineyards and jogging and cycling. Massage therapies are offered in the privacy of your room/suite.
