| Kenya |
- Visa: All visitors to Kenya except East African Citizens require a visa. Residents of the EU, US, Switzerland, Australia, India and other countries can obtain a three months visitor visa upon arrival. The cost of a tourist visa is 50 US$ per person.
- Currency: The currency in Kenya is the Kenyan Shilling. Money can be exchanged at international airports and authorised dealers and banks. International credit cards are accepted by upmarket hotels.
- Language & Faith / Religion: Swahili and English are the official languages spoken in Kenya, with several other native languages used by locals. Majority of Kenyans are Christians followed by Muslims. Other faiths such as Hinduism also exist.
- Vaccinations: Anti-malarial prophylactics are strongly recommended, although malaria does not exist in all areas. Bring long-sleeved shirts, trousers and socks for the evening.
- Weather: The hottest period is in February and March and the coldest in July and August. Long rains occur from April to June and short rains from October to December.

| Tanzania |
- Visa: : All visitors to Tanzania except citizens of the Commonwealth (excluding citizens of the United Kingdom, Canada, Nigeria, or India) require a visa. Tourists can obtain a visa valid for up to three months at a cost of US$ 50 per person at the point of entry. For US citizens it costs US$100.
- Currency: : The currency in Tanzania is the Tanzanian Shilling. Money can be exchanged at international airports and authorised dealers and banks. Travellers' cheques are accepted in large towns and international credit cards are only accepted by major hotels.
- Language & Faith / Religion: Swahili and English are the official languages spoken in Tanzania, with several other native languages used by locals. Christianity and Islam are the predominant religions of Tanzania.
- Vaccinations: Visitors to Tanzania coming from other African countries are required to present a valid yellow fever certificate of vaccination on entry. An anti-malarial prophylactic is strongly recommended. Bring long-sleeved shirts, trousers and socks for the evening.
- Weather: Tanzania has two distinct annual rainfall patterns. The short rains last from October to December while the long rains last from mid March to May. The warm Tanzanian summer lasts from mid-December till March

| Uganda |
- Visa: All visitors to Uganda except nationals of the UK, USA, Germany, Canada, Sweden, Mauritius, South Africa and Hong Kong, require a visa. The cost of a tourist visa is 50 US$ per person and can be obtained upon arrival.
- Currency: The currency in Uganda is the Ugandan shilling. Money can be exchanged at international airports and authorised dealers and banks. International credit cards are accepted by upmarket hotels with a surcharge of 10%.
- Language & Faith / Religion: The official language of Uganda is English, but they also speak Luganda and Swahili. Uganda is a predominantly Christian country with a significant Muslim minority
- Vaccinations: All visitors to Uganda are required to present a valid yellow fever certificate of vaccination on entry. Anti-malarial prophylactics are strongly recommended. Bring long-sleeved shirts, trousers and socks for the evening.

| Rwanda |
- Visa: All visitors to Rwanda except nationals of USA, Germany, Tanzania, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Uganda, Mauritius, South Africa, Kenya, Great Britain, Sweden, Singapore, Hong Kong and Burundi, require a visa. The cost of a tourist visa is 60 US$ per person and can be obtained upon arrival.
- Currency: Thai Bhat (THB). The official currency in Rwanda is the Rwandan franc. The US dollar is the hard currency of preference. Credit cards are only accepted at the major hotels in Kigali. Money can be exchanged at international airports and authorised dealers and banks.
- Language & Faith / Religion: French is the official language, although Swahili is understood and in recent years English. The majority of Rwandans are Roman Catholic and a few are Protestants and Muslims.
- Vaccinations: All visitors to Rwanda are required to present a valid yellow fever certificate of vaccination on entry. Anti-malarial prophylactics are strongly recommended. Bring long-sleeved shirts, trousers and socks for the evening.
- Weather: Rwanda has a pleasant tropical highland climate with two rainy seasons from February to April and from November to January.

| Mozambique |
- Visa: Citizens and permanent residents of all states require a visa to visit Mozambique. The charges for visas vary.
- Currency: The unit of currency is the Mozambique Metical. Credit and Debit Cards are increasingly accepted in Maputo, but not beyond the capital.
- Language & Faith / Religion: The official language in Mozambique is Portuguese with several other native languages used by locals. Mozambique religion is an eclectic blend of Roman Catholicism, Islam, non- Catholic Christian faiths and a few other indigenous religions
- Vaccinations: : All visitors to Mozambique are required to present a valid yellow fever certificate of vaccination on entry. It is advisable to carry basic medical supplies.
- Weather: The climate varies in the different regions of the country, but generally the inland areas are slightly cooler, although more humid than along the coast in the rainy season.
- Best Time to Travel: To benefit from the best wildlife viewing and excellent weather, it is advisable to travel in the cooler dry months April to September.

| Seychelles |
- Visa: Most nationalities do not require visas to enter Seychelles. However, the following documents must be shown in order to obtain immigration clearance: a passport valid on the date of entry to and exit from Seychelles; Return or onward ticket; and Proof of accommodation.
- Currency: The Seychelles currency is the Rupee. The country's foreign exchange regulations require visitors to pay for all services in major foreign currency notes or by credit card. Money can be exchanged at banks and the airport on Mahé, or at hotels. To change Rupees back into foreign currency on departure requires the official receipt from the initial transaction.
- Language & Faith / Religion: There are three official languages in Seychelles: Creole, English and French. Many Seychellois also speak fluent Italian or German. Roman Catholicism remains the dominant religion of Seychelles but there are also Anglican and Protestant churches as well as other denominations.
- Vaccinations: The Seychelles have a salubrious climate and are void of tropical diseases.
- Weather: Seychelles has two main seasons, the Northwest Monsoon and the Southeast Monsoon separated by two relatively short Inter-Monsoon periods. It experiences a lot of rain all year round. The hottest months are from December to April

| Malawi |
- Visa: All visitors to Malawi except British, Canadian, Australian, American, New Zealand, South African and Irish passport holders, require a visa.
- Currency: : The official currency in Malawi is the Malawi Kwacha. Travellers cheques and foreign currencies are accepted by banks, authorised hotels and other institutions in the main town centres; bureaux de change are also available. The US dollar is the easiest currency to exchange. Credit cards are not widely accepted while ATMs are scarce.
- Language & Faith / Religion: The official language of Malawi is English, although the national language is Chichewa. Christianity is the religion of most of the people of Malawi followed by Islam.
- Vaccinations: A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required to enter Malawi, if arriving within six days of leaving or transiting through an infected area.
- Weather: Malawi has a sub-tropical climate, which is relatively dry and strongly seasonal. The warm-wet season stretches from November to April and the cool, dry winter season is evident from May to August

- Visa: Visa requirements for foreign nationals entering Zimbabwe vary. Please verify with the Zimbabwean embassy in your country before travelling.
- Currency: Since the indefinite suspension of the Zimbabwean dollar, Zimbabweans now use the US dollar mostly and other major foreign currencies. The use of credit cards is still very limited.

| Swaziland |
- Visa: Most nationalities do not require visas to enter Swaziland. UK and Irish nationals require a visa.
- Currency: The official currency is the Lilangeni. The South African Rand is also accepted as legal tender. Travellers' cheques are widely accepted and are best taken in US Dollars, Euros or Pounds Sterling, to avoid high commission. American Express, Visa and MasterCard are widely accepted.

- Weather: The warm months are from October through to April during which most rain falls in heavy thunderstorms. May to August are cooler with cold temperatures during the nights in June and July.
