Island
Camp Baringo
Island Camp is located on the largest island in Lake Baringo, one of the only two freshwater lakes in the Rift Valley and one of Kenya's premier areas for bird watching. Built on a hill, the small camp with a remote feel comprises of 23 luxury tents with ensuite bathroom, tucked away under the shade of spreading acacia trees and with wide views over the lake. The camp is currently undergoing renovation during which the tents will be replaced with open chalets with their own plunge pool.
From the pool situated at the pinnacle of the camp, guests have splendid views of the surrounding Rift Valley. Winding paths lead down from the pool to the informal dining and bar areas. This enchanted camp with its magical sunrises and sunsets is not only a romantic location, but also a bird watcher's paradise with over 400 bird species. Nature lovers can go game viewing, boat cruising, angling & fishing, bird watching and walks. A number of water sports like water skiing, ski bob, paddle board & knee board and inflatable boat are available. Visitors can also visit Lake Bogoria to see flamingoes and isit a local Njemp or Pokot village for a cultural experience. |

Robert’s Camp
Situated on the shores of Lake Baringo, Robert’s Camp is surrounded by one of Kenya’s most stunning landscapes, home to a spectacular bird life of over 450 species and wildlife including the hippos and crocodiles.
Accommodation options include cottages and simple bandas. The most charming of the three cottages is called ""Hammerkop"" and has a rustic log cabin feel and is set on stilts. It can be taken on a self catering, full or half board basis and offers space for up to a maximum of 8 guests.
You could watch the sun rise over the beautiful Lake Baringo in the morning and spend the morning identifying the birds species just within the camp, or go for a boat ride on the lake and have a glimpse of the Fish Eagles, explore Lake Bogoria or just relax at the Thirsty Goat Pub and Restaurant and occasionally visit the 85 year old resident giant tortoise “Mzee Koby”. |

Samatian Island
Set on a small Island with breathtaking views across the bronze waters Lake Baringo, Samatian offers a perfect mid-safari break. The beauty of Lake Baringo and its sorrounding is legendary, with spectacular sunsets, a dazzling array of birdlife, Pokot villages, Njemps fishermen continuing a trade little changed over 200 years and the imposing Laikipia Escarpment creating a magnificent backdrop to the lake and its inhabitants.
Accommodation consists of four open-plan thatched cottages for up to 12 guests. Each room has a suberb view of the lake and is tastefully and uniquely designed and furnished. All chalets have adjacent bathrooms and the family chalet, with a double and a twin bedroom has an open-air deck upstairsfor stargazing and a wonderful 360-degree view, veranda, sitting room and bathroom.
Samatian has a large swimming pool which is the perfect place for relaxing with dramatic views and a good book between active safari days. The dining area overlooks the swimming pool and has a wide view of the lake and the rugged Northern Frontier District of Kenya.
Guests can go on bird watching excursions, bush walks, boat trips or canoeing. Those interested in experiencing authentic local culture also have the opportunity to visit a local vilage of the Njemps and Pokot tribes.

Lake Bogoria Hotel
Lake Bogoria Hotel is the only naturally heated health spa in Kenya and located inside Lake Bogoria National Reserve, famous for it's numerous geysers and springs. It is an oasis in the middle of the savannah and is set in the acacia surroundings of the Rift Valley floor, against the backdrop of the eastern wall of the Great Rift and the Tugen Hills in the west. The hotel is a bird-watcher's paradise and the marabou storks and various other resident birds provide a lively welcome for you.
The hotel comprises 22 rooms in the main block and 23 private cottages. The rooms are self contained, air conditioned with telephones and in room safety locks. Lake Bogoria Hotel also has two restaurants offering local and international delights, a swimming pool and offers bird walks by a resident naturalist."
