Flamingo Hill Tented Camp:

Flamingo Hill Camp is nestled between the “honeymoon hills” on the edge of Lake Nakuru National Park. It derives its name from the hordes of famous pink flamingo which grace the shores of Lake Nakuru. The camp has a dining area and lounge bar and offers accomodation in 25 tents with ensuite with showers and toilets. Each tent is set raised above the ground on a stone floor and under a thatched roof and has a view of the plains from its private veranda.

Lake Nakuru Lodge:

Lake Nakuru Lodge, originally a farm house, is situated in the Lake Nakuru National Park which abounds in game. It blends well with its surrounding and offers commanding views of the innumerable lesser and greater flamingo on the lake shore. Animals often browse peacefully close to the lodge and environs and when it gets too hot they take refuge under the Acacia and the Euphorbia forests around the lake. Accommodation for up to 176 guests is offered in either family rooms, cottages or suites. The rooms have chalet bathrooms with private shower and other amenities including mosquito nets, telephones, an in-room safe, and veranda with a panoramic view of the lake.

Lakira Camp:

Set amidst a shady grove of acacias on the edge of Lake Nakuru within the national park and nestled deep within the ‘Cradle of mankind’ lies the stunningly luxurious Lakira Camp. The camp consists of 7 large and airy tents sprinkled with a dash of romance. Each tent has 4 poster beds, mosquito nets and is furnished with old antiques, richly woven Persian rugs and beds spread with clean, white Egyptian cottons. All tents are ensuite with a shower, WC and eco-friendly toilets. Hot and cold running water is available in all tents and each tent is discreetly tucked away amidst a flank of acacia trees with its own private verandah overlooking the lake. Altogether it’s a seemingly private wilderness where guests can walk out of their tents in classic bush style.

Naishi House:

Naishi House is set amongst acacia trees with commanding views across Lake Nakuru National Park. It is ideally situated for game drives to the lakeside, the volcanic cliffs and Makalia Falls. Visitors may see lion, rhino, buffalo, zebra, eland, warthog and plains game from the veranda and the windows of the house. Owned and managed by the Kenya Wildlife Society, it is a self-catering accomodation option featuring a main house which has a sitting room with a fireplace and a door leading to a veranda, an open plan dining area and an open-plan kitchen with a gas cooker, refrigerator, kitchen utensils and. The caretaker provides kerosene lamps and electricity is provided by a generator from 7pm to 10pm.

Mbweha Camp:

Mbweha Camp is nestled up outside the southern boundary of Lake Nakuru National Park in a private wildife reserve. It is hidden in a grove of Euphorbia Cactus and offers a fascinating wildlife experience with its variety of animals and birds in a picturesque setting featuring mountain ranges interrupted by the Great Rift Valley. From the sunken bar and lounge with an open fireplace, guests have a view of a beautiful lawn area and a small waterhole. Meals are served in a separate thatched dining room and accomodation is offered in 9 rustic cottages with natural lava rock walls, ensuite bathrooms and private verandas.

Sarova Lion Hill Lodge:

The Sarova Lion Hill Lodge is set on a plateau overlooking Lake Nakuru. Beautifully landscaped with natural foliage and a variety of flower gardens, the lodge is ideally located for watching the Pink Flamingo and a rich concentration of wildlife including black and white colobus monkey as well as rhino. Its pool as well as the restaurant and bar with a patio overlooking the Rift Valley offer spectacular views of the lake. Accomodation is offered in 67 chalets all overlooking the lake and guests can have bush lunches and dine on the manicured gardens or on the terrasse of their luxurious suites.
