Elsa’s
Kopje
Named after "Elsa" the
lioness which was introduced into
the wilds from this very spot,
Elsa's Kopje is built on the site
of George Adamson's first campsite
and is hardly visible as you approach
the hill. Each of the nine individually
built cottages are luxuriously
appointed and, being perched on
a rocky outcrop, have the ultimate
‘room with a view’.
The lodge offers stunning views
over Meru's landscape of giant
baobabs, doum palms and hot bushland,
interwoven with lush springs and
a myriad of rivers.
From the safety of their verandah,
looking out on the plains below,
guests can spot a giraffes making
their way across the bush close
to groups of elephants sheltered
under a tree. A private house
with two ensuite bedrooms, sitting
room, dining room and its own
swimming pool is also available.
Fine food, great service, magical
dinners in the middle of the Bush,
keep the adrenaline constantly
flowing and spirits always high.

Leopard Rock Lodge
Leopard Rock is built along a river in Meru National park. The lodge has no fence surrounding and wild animals come inside the lodge compound and you are likely to see baboons, buffalos, gazelles, birds of various kinds and if you are lucky also leopards, rhinos, lions, elephants and giraffes.
The lodge has 15 cottages that appear a bit dark and gloomy and are furnished with Lamu furniture. However, the lodge has a nice swimming pool with bar and guests can visit the Hippo Pool located inside the lodge or relax at the Jacuzzi.
Enjoy the game drives, guided nature walks, bush breakfasts, sundowners, bird watching or fishing on the river. Camel walk expeditions can be arranged for adventurous spirited guests. Picnic at the Tana River Adamson's Falls is another rewarding excursion.
