 Chitengo Camp
The historic Chitengo Safari Camp is located in the heart of Gorongosa Park. It was adversely affected by the past civil wars which also adversely reduced the game population.
It features bungalows and has a restaurant, complete with BBQ facilities. Visitors can enjoy day or night game drives with a professional guide in an open viewing vehicle. International attempts are currently underway to reintroduce herds of elephant, buffalo and other game, and visitors are already able to sip sundowners overlooking the waterhole from the comfort of Chitengo Camp.
