Lake Kivu Serena Hotel is situated in the Rwandan town of Gisenyi, on the shores of Lake Kivu. The hotel is situated on a sandy beach, with the nearby Virunga Volcanoes providing a spectacular backdrop on one side and a panoramic view of the lake on the other.
Accommodation comprises 66 air-conditioned rooms, including 6 luxury suites, 23 family rooms and one room especially equipped for disabled guests. The restaurant offers a stunning view of the lake during meal times. The hotel offers business facilities including a boardroom and three conference rooms, cocktails and banquets. The hotel also has a gym, outdoor swimming pool and two tennis courts.

Stipp Hotel
Stipp Hotel is a small hotel based in Gisenyi, a small town not far from the beach of Lake Kivu. It formerly served as the office of the UNHCR right after the genocide. The hotel is a favorite hangout spot for the comparatively wealthier locals, particularly during soccer matches.
Rooms are very comfortable with nice bathrooms. The hotel also has a small pool and poolside bar. The courtyard is beautiful revealing a nice view of the lake. The food provided is good with their African tea being some of the best in town.
It is the only place in Gisenyi with a steam, sauna, and massage and plans are underway to construct a gym.
