Gorilla Nest
The Mountain Gorillas Nest Lodge is set amongst a grove of eucalyptus against a backdrop of five volcanoes. It is close to the entrance to Parc National des Volcans in northern Rwanda.
The rooms are set around a large courtyard and on a clear day, the views across to the volcanoes and surrounding area are spectacular. It’s proximity to the National Park makes it the a good base for the endangered mountain gorillas trekking. Each of the hotel’s 40 rooms is comfortably appointed with en-suite facilities. There is a spacious restaurant with a large bar and reception area and from where one can experience the panoramic view of the volcano chain.

Kinigi Guesthouse
Locally known as 'Village Touristique de Kinigi', it is located just a short distance from the gorilla trailhead in Volcanoes National Park, 11 kms from Ruhengeri Town with access on well maintained roads. It is a simple, rather basic guest house run by a women’s association, ASOFERWA and is a comfortable gateway to the majestic beauty of the Volcanic Mountain Range, the natural habitat of the rare mountain gorillas in Ruhingeri.
The guest house has a capacity for 40 guests. All rooms have electricity and hot water. There are four 4 VIP suites. For conferences, seminars, weddings and other social functions, the Village has an ideal hall with 400 seat capacity in the peace and quiet of this enchanted area. Visitors can sit in one of the shelters and just enjoy the sounds of nature and have dinner or a drink outside.

Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge
The lodge is located at the foot of Mt Sabyinyo just outside the Volcanoes National Park, in north-western Rwanda. It is owned by the Kinigi community trust SACOLA. The lodge is set at approximately 2,150m, offering spectacular views of the Virunga Mountains. Set in landscaped gardens, the lodge is constructed of local stone, finished with an ochre-coloured plaster. Terracotta tiled roofs give a stylish contemporary Rwandese flavour.
There are 5 cottages, 2 suites and 1 family cottage, all offering private verandas, bathrooms and sitting rooms with fireplaces. All guest rooms and suites are individual cottages carefully positioned on the undulating site to take full advantage of the wonderful views of the Virunga Volcanoes whilst retaining as much privacy as possible. All guest cottages comprise sitting room, fire place, dressing room, large bathroom with all modern amenities, large beds and veranda. Sabyinyo has a central building, with reception, bar, dining room, library / games room, community awareness centre, guest washrooms and shop.
Both the bar and dining room have extensive outdoor decks from which our guests can enjoy the spectacular views. Double thickness walls maintain the warmth from the fireplaces when it is cold outside, and keep the rooms cool in the warmer weather during the day. With its siting at the base of the mountain, it makes for a good base for gorilla trekking.

Virunga Lodge
This is anan eco-lodge located on a hillside overlooking the Virunga Volcanoes and the Lakes Ruhondo and Bulera.It is with 360 degree breathtaking views of the sorrounding. The lodge features 8 permanent en-suite bandas with private balconies overlooking the dramatic Virunga volcanoes and lakes.
The open fire places in the lounge and dining room are a warm welcome after a day out tracking the mountain gorillas and viewing the sorrounding scenery. Other possible activities include visiting Dian Fossey's grave, tracking the golden monkey or climbing one of the volcanic peaks. The Volcanoes National Park also supports a number of other localised mammal, bird and plant species. The menu is a mixture of western and local African cuisine, served in the dining room which boasts fantastic views of the lakes.
