 Desroches Island Resort
The resort is built amongst coconut grove, magnificent beaches, within a paradise of flora and fauna. It is sheltered by the turquoise waters of the encircling coral reef.
Desroches comprises 20 generously proportioned junior suites, each just yards from the beach. All suites are decorated the island style and complemented with modern comfort. The rooms are spacious and luxurious furnished with large four-poster beds. The décor uses subtle pastel shades, and the cane armchairs and linen fabrics add to the natural feel about the place. Coconut mats add a further tropical touch and the solid wood flooring creates a warm, homely atmosphere. There is an outdoor shower and the terrace is comfortably furnished with wicker chairs, deckchairs and a teakwood table.
The resort has a pool, two restaurants, one of which is on the beach, and a bar. There is a spa with its 5 massage rooms, 2 treatment rooms, sauna and steam room. In front of the swimming pool, the restaurant has a stunning view on the pool and the sea, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Depending on the evening, guests will enjoy a variety of table d'hôte, cooking show or seafood festival. The cuisine varies between Creole, French and cosmopolitan types. In the kiosks with thatch roof, the guests can enjoy a ""feed in the sand"" meal for breakfast buffet, lunch buffet or for intimate candlelit dinner or lobster evening. Facing the sea, the adult pool is clearly separated by a wooden bridge from the children's splash pool area.
Guests can swim, snorkel and fish and divers can explore the exciting 'Desroches drop'. Tennis, canoes, sailing and windsurfing are also available. More active guests can explore the island by bicycle.
