 Frégate Island
Frégate Island has 16 villas, restricting the number of guests to a maximum of 40 at any one time. The island is exclusive to its guests and allows no day visitors. Built from traditional materials of mahogany and African teak in a simple style, the villas are topped off with dense thatched roofs. Each villa is positioned to ensure ultimate privacy. Both the architecture and decor draw on Balinese and Thai influences. Fourteen of the villas sit on top of the cliffs with panoramic views over the Indian Ocean. Each villa has air-conditioning, a large terrace with a day bed and jacuzzi as an extension of the living area.
The Plantation House restaurant serves traditional Creole dishes & island specialtiesand a gourmet menu features the Chef's daily selection of local produce. In addition to an abundance of naturally growing mangos, papayas, guava, coconuts, melons and bananas, a team of gardeners cultivate a wide range of organic produce in the island's plantation and Hydroponics House. Visitors can discover the remote island while snorkeling, kayaking, game fishing or boating. Sailing and motorboats take guests to the numerous dive sites around the island.
Guests can mountain bike along trails that cross the island, go Hobie Cat sailing, book a sunset cruise or simply stay at home and have a massage on your deck. The island is small, which makes it ideal for exploring on foot. There's a fully equipped gym, a fresh water swimming pool, an extensive library, and a children's game room.
