Tented Camp
Gombe Tented Camp is situated at the northern end of Gombe Stream National Park. Set right on the lakeshore, it has a spacious beach and all the tents are under big shady trees. The scenery in Gombe is stunning, with most of the major valleys containing swift streams that flow all year. The camp has a small reception area situated on the beach, a library, an information centre, a curio shop, a bar and a lounge. Locally made cushioned lounge beds are set on the beach for guests to relax. Accommodation is offered in well ventilated canvas tents on raised wooden platforms facing the lake. They also have ensuite hot water showers with flush toilets and decks which offer a perfect view of the lake and the sunsets. After a hard day of climbing hills tracking Chimpanzees, relax and enjoy the view of the deep blue waters of Lake Tanganyika with the orange-red sunsets outlining the Congo Mountains outside your tent on the comortable chairs.
