E Unoto Retreat:

Situated on a hill at the base of the steep Great Rift Valley escarpment and overlooking the beautiful Lake Miwaleni which is surrounded by dense vegetation, E Unoto Retreat is a good base for visits to both Tarangire and Lake Manyara National Park. The lodge's architectural style is influenced by the traditional Maasai huts and all the buildings are round in shape with thatched cone shaped roofs. While the 25 rooms appear a bit dark and quite close to each other, they offer great views from a small private terrasse. The furniture in each room reflects a disctinct Maasai theme and includes a writing table, chair and beautiful bedside lamps. Guests at E Unoto can learn more about the Maasai culture from the friendly staff most of whom come from the local community or visit the neighbouring Maasai village. E Unoto's restaurant area, lounges and swimming pool all have stunning views of the lake and the forested escarpment. Kirurumu Tented Lodge is located high on an escarpment and offers spectacular views over Lake Manyara. The lodge appears very unobtrusive, having been built with sensitivity toward the landscape. Great care was taken not to cut any trees, the tent bases were made from local, volcanic stone and the roofs are thatched, blending into the environment. Impact on the Lodge's surroundings is minimal, as all utility lines were carefully placed underground and hot water is created by solar panels. The 20 comfortable and well-spaced tents all have spacious verandas and ensuite bathrooms with hot and cold running water. Kirurumu supports the local community, providing clean, fresh water, and a supportive community development program. A high level of care is extended to guests and guests particularly enjoy the delicious home-cooked food and the relaxed atmosphere as well as the bar and sun-deck with panoramic views of the Rift Valley.

Lake Manyara Serena Lodge:
