Lake Masek Tented Lodge:

Lake Masek Luxury tented lodge is the only permanent luxury lodge in the Southern Serengeti and will open towards the end of 2009. It is located in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, bordering Serengeti National Park, ideally suited for witnessing the Wildebeest Migration between December and March. The lodge overlooks Lake Masek and spectacular sunsets over the Hippo Pool. There is resident big 5 game years all round this lodge. It’s also eco-friendly and all power is supplied by solar electricity. Water is harvested during the rainy season and collected for use. Central Serengeti

Bilila Lodge:

Bilila Lodge Kempinski perfectly combines the intimacy of a lodge and the indulgence expected of a luxury hotel. To compliment your dining experience, Bilila Lodge Kempinski has an open terrace area where you may enjoy light meals and sundowners, and huge glass sliding windows in the main restaurant and lounges so that you may continue to enjoy the endless plains of the Serengeti.


Dunia Camp:

Dunia Camp is located just in a spectacular and lesser visited area of the Serengeti. Tucked between the central Serengeti and the southern Serengeti plains, the camp's position is carefully chosen to allow for excellent game all year round and Migration viewing between December and May, whilst staying away from the busier areas of the park. Dunia Camp consists of 7 large en-suite guest tents plus a mess and dining area and tent and a fire place. Each spacious guest tent has a comfortable king size bed (twins possible) and a large, private veranda with comfortable chairs and couches perfect for viewing the vast Serengeti landscape. The tents are well appointed and comfortable, and the en-suite bathrooms have flush toilets, sink and a traditional safari bucket showers.


Serengeti Medium:

A mobile tented camp located in Central Serengeti, ideally located to explore the vast Serengeti Plains. Comfortable accommodation in 20 tents with en suite facilities. The cosy mess tent is located in the centre of the camp where meals are served. Fire camp is lightened every evening for appetizers and snacks before dinner.


Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge:

The Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge is set high on a hill overlooking the endless Serengeti Plains. It offers superb game viewing with big game frequently feeding a short distance from the lodge. Accommodation is in 66 rooms designed after traditional village huts. Guests enjoy the wilderness breakfasts and luncheons, balloon safaris, traditional dancing and daily slide shows.


Serengeti Wilderness Tented Camp:

Serengeti Wilderness Tented Camp is semi - permanent without permanent structures and therefore can be moved to follow the game movements. There are only 8 en suite tents, with two beds, solar lighting and bucket showers. A large dining tent with bar, as well as a comfortable lounge area with a small reference library, and a typical safari campfire make up the balance of the facilities. Unlike most other lodges, your guide will join you for meals etc, and be available for you at all hours. The camp intends to run in as eco-friendly way as possible, with all waste etc being disposed of under Park's guidelines.


Western Serengeti

Grumeti River Camp:

Grumeti River Camp is located in the western corridor of the Serengeti National Park, 50km east of Lake Victoria. It is set beneath tall riverine trees on the banks of a tributary of the Grumeti River where crocodiles lie awaiting the great migration as wildebeest and zebra try to make their way across. Other animals to see in this area include hippos and high concentrations of cheetah. Guests sleep in ten spacious tented suites overhung with banana leaves and thatched roofs with ensuite bathrooms and open top showers which let the sunlight come through during the day and offer great views of the stars at night. Tastefully decorated in cloth and sculptured African furnishings, the tents also have a view of the water's edge. As a guest at Grumeti River Camp you can go out on a game drive, relax in the plunge pool or sip sundowners in the lounge or bar as well as have meals in the open-air boma.


Kensington Camp Serengeti:

Kensington is a small camp which is located to the western corridor of Serengeti close to the Grumeti River. The camp is located in a lovely spot with scattered miombo woodland breaking up the plains. There are eight safari tents which all of which have been furnished with two Queen sized bed. All have an ensuite bathroom with hot and cold water showers, basins and flush toilets


Kirawira Camp:

Set on a hilltop, Kirawira Camp offers stunning views over the Serengeti National Park. Designed in Edwardian style, the camp evokes memories of luxury safaris in the colonial era. Common areas include a swimming pool, an elegant central tent with a dining room, lounge and bar and a 'Sun downer’ terrace looking out over gently sloping acacia groves towards the hills and plains of the Serengeti’s Western Corridor where the wildebeest migration can be viewed. Accommodation is in 25 thatched luxury tents raised on platforms with an ensuite bathroom and they each have a private terrace and personal valet. Guests at Kirawira Camp can do walking safaris, bush dinners and sundowners. Fishing trips to Lake Victoria and balloon safaris can also be arranged at an extra charge.


Mbalageti Serengeti:

The Mbalageti Serengeti is located in the Western Corridor of the Serengeti National Park, at the Mwamyeni hill. The luxurous lodge consists of 26 luxury tented chalets and exclusive tented suites spread out to ensure privacy and exclusivity. Sunset or sunrise, each side of the hill accommodates 12 of the 24 luxury tented chalets. Each has en-suite bathroom and a private veranda from which you can enjoy the panoramic views of the Serengeti plains and the Mbalageti River. The lodge restaurant offers cuisine with both local and international influences and serves themed lived cooked dinners, al la carte lunches and breakfast buffet. In the bar area and on the lounge loft the guests can relax with games, magazines and books. For the creative traveler an aisle with water paint is provided. The swimming pool with its 360 degree view of the Serengeti is a real oasis in the wild. A massage and dip in the pool will relax you after a long and dusty day of game drives.


Northern Serengeti

Mbuzi Mawe:

Mbuzi Mawe Tented Camp lies at the epicenter of the Serengeti within easy reach of Lobo, the Western Corridor of the Grumeti River, the southern grass plains, the Seronera Valley and the kopjes of Barafu, Gol, Maasai, Loliondo, Simba and Moru. The camp enjoys a ringside seat for one of the annual migration. Accommodation comprises 16 luxurious, spacious tents, each with ensuite bathroom, dressing area, two double four-poster beds and a verandah with a double sun bed. The cuisine is excellent and guests can enjoy delicious al fresco breakfasts and campfire roasts. The central lounge features a cocktail bar stocked with a discerning selection of beers, wines and spirits. The dining tent has its own shaded terrace for optional outdoor dining while the cuisine blends the traditional camp fare of flame-roasted meats with salads, fresh garden produce, piquant fish dishes and Activities at Mbuzi Mawe include daily game drives where, with the aid of your guide, you will have the opportunity to experience and appreciate first hand the harshness and beauty of this area.


Migration Tented Camp:

Migration Camp is a permanent lodge located in the Northern Coridor of Serengeti, on the main wildebeest migration route, along the bank of the Grumeti River. It is raised up on the side of an impressive kopje known as Poacher's Lookout, with broad views north over the Serengeti hills and beyond to the plains of the Maasai Mara. All twenty private tents face westwards towards the Serengeti sunset, and are linked by soft pathways lit by gas lamps as darkness falls. Migration Camp offers game drives through the Serengeti, and is an ideal base to savour the vastness and variety of this area whilst enjoying quality and individual service. Resident game including lion, leopard, elephant and buffalo are always present due to permanent water. Elevations, bridges and timbered decks have been used to capture the views from the restaurant, bar and library, which are all under canvas. The lodge also has a swimming pool with a jacuzzi.


Sayari Camp:

Sayari Camp is a spectacular luxury safari camp, situated at a fantastic site on the Mara River, in the unspoilt and undiscovered northern part of the Serengeti. This unspoilt area is a spectacular wildlife destination, with large concentrations of animals year-round - like the Maasai Mara on the Kenyan side of the border, but without the vehicles. Due to the limited traffic in the area, off-road game-driving is possible. The Migration usually roams around in the area from mid July to November, and in this time frame lucky guests could get to see the famous Mara River crossings of wildebeest. Outside the Migration season, there is still plenty to see: the area hosts many resident cats, elephants, resident zebra and wildebeest, herds of topi and lesser known animals such as the bat-eared fox. The river is the territory of hippo and crocodile year round. The camp has 2 "wings", one with 9 tents and one with 6 tents. Both wings have a seperate mess and dining to ensure intimacy and personal service. Each of the 15 luxury guest tents are very spacious and has a comfortable king size bed or twins beds and a large, private veranda, overlooking the Serengeti. The en-suite bathrooms have flush toilets, a double sink, shower and beautiful bath with a view. In addition to this, the suite at Sayari comes with personal service and a private outside bath overlooking the Serengeti plains. After game drives, enjoy the beautiful views from the spectacular infinity pool or choose the privacy of your veranda, the warmth of the fire place, a relaxing massage or the comfort of the atmospheric library, bar or lounge.


Moving with the Migration

Nomad Serengeti Safari Camp:

The Camp roams around the entity of the Greater Serengeti in true nomadic fashion, travelling where densities of animals are mostly higher, and the chance of seeing large predators is much greater. Guests stay in 6 classic bush style meru tents and each sits alone on its own patch. The bathrooms are en-suite, with traditional safari style bucket showers, short drop toilets, and hot and cold water available on demand. The camp is well equipped, but light and simple, with a library and lounge tent, as well as a dining tent. Activities include game drives, bush picnics and guided walks.


Olakira Camp:

Olakira Camp is a luxury tented safari camp offering an authentic and intimate safari experience. The camp adapts to the migratory patterns, moving where the action is. From mid December to March, the camp is located in the Ndutu area to witness the magical calving season of the wildebeest in the southern Serengeti. From June to November, the camp moves to a crossing site where the Bolongonja River meets the Mara River. The 8 tents are spacious, comfortable with en-suite flush toilets and safari showers. After activities, guests gather at the fire place, sundowner spots and the common dining and library tent or have a private dinner under the stars, enjoying the excellent food. The campfire and the sounds of the wildlife all around make Olakira particularly charming and the camp's size and the friendly, well trained staff create an intimate and authentic safari experience. Enjoy wonderful game driving including off road driving, bird watching, picnics and watching nature & wildlife from camp. From June to November, Olakira combines very well with Sayari Camp for a varied safari experience and during this time guests combining these two camps can experience a beautiful bush walk from Olakira to Sayari.


Serengeti Under Canvas:

The locations of these migratory camps are carefully selected so as to adapt to the movements of animals during the annual sojourn through the plains of the Serengeti. This enables guests get as close as possible to the game on the migration as well as the non-migrating wildlife. The luxurious tented provide spacious tents, each with big beds, bathroom, separate water and romantic safari outdoor shower. The tents reflect the Bedouin style, especially the Indian rugs, linens, sparkling crystal and polished brass samovar and basins.


Simiyu Mobile Camp:

Simiyu Mobile Camp moves with the migration of the Wildbeast in the Serengeti. It has three different locations during the year according to the movement of the wildlife, allowing guests to be close to the migration where the action is and enjoy the beautiful African landscapes, the fragrance of the wild and the noises of the night. Accommodation is offered in 10 spacious tents en suite and fully furnished.


Loliondo

Kleins Camp:

Kleins Camp is a small luxury lodge situated high on the Kuka Hills in a private concession just beyond the boundaries of the Serengeti, commanding superb views back over it and the plains extending up to Kenya. The camp has a large open- sided bar and sitting area with a central fireplace and a pool with deck on the hillside. Accommodation is offered in ten intimate thatched cottages built with local stone which each have an ensuite shower, twin hand basins and a toilet. From their private verandas guests can view the resident wildlife in the valley below. Being outside the park, the camp offers a wider than usual game experience, including night drives and walking safaris up and along the hills or in the game rich valley which culminate in sundowners served on the crest of a hill. Bush breakfast and dinners can also be arranged at special locations upon request.


Nduara Loliondo Camp:

Situated in the Loliondo Game Reserve east of the legendary Serengeti, the recently refurbished Nduara Loliondo Camp was designed to celebrate nomadic cultures around the world - the Mongolian Yurts, the Navajo Tepees and the Maasai Bomas. The camp consists of six large yurts, with a dining yurt and separate lounge/library yurt. Each tent has it's own en-suite bathroom with traditional bucket showers and short drop toilets. The spacious, beautiful yurts have been given a totally African makeover, with enough light and air to do justice to the wide skies and gentle climate of the area, then revved up with re-invented Maasai motifs and materials. The "yurt" camp moves between north and south Loliondo, to give you the best of what this stunning area has to offer. From December to June, the camp is located in the open plains of Piyaya, and partners with the village community. This area is bordered by the Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Gol Mountains and Sanjan Gorge. Here, the resident game is excellent, and the migration will periodically pass through the area. From mid June to December, the camp partners the Ololosokwan village community in the north Loliondo area. Bordering Kenya's Masai Mara to the north and the Serengeti National Park to the west, this area also offers a great mix of resident game and is excellent walking country with dramatic scenery of rock kopjes and woodlands. The emphasis in both areas is on walking safaris and night drives, neither of which are possible within the Serengeti itself, and also cultural visits with the Maasai.


Piyaya Mobile Camp:

Piyaya Mobile Camp is a seasonal camp operating from December to March and located in a private concession area to the east of the Serengeti. The large concession area offers stunning landcapes with the Gol Mountains and the deep Sanjan Gorge, unspoilt Maasai culture and excellent possibilities for walking. Parts of Piyaya have good resident game and the Migration moves into the area between December and March. The rare wild dogs ("Suyan" means "wild dog" in Maasai) have been frequently sighted in Piyaya in recent years. For thousands of years, the rugged Loliondo area has been the territory of nomadic tribes, hunting and herding for a living. A stay in the intimate Piyaya Mobile Camp reflects the history of the land. Although the camp is the home base of a stay in the area, walking safaris and nights of fly camping will take exploring travellers deep into the wild and ancient land, finding wildlife, mountains, gorges, volcanos, cultural experiences at Maasai settlements and the peace and tranquillity of endless nature with not a human soul in sight. Furthermore, game drives can be done inside and outside the Serengeti. Far away from the crowds, the six beautifully designed guest tents are located in a way that you can enjoy breathtaking views of the amazing landscape with savannah and hills from your private veranda. Tents have comfortable en-suite bathrooms with flushing toilets and safari showers. The camp offers great food, great wines and a tastefully furnished dining and library tent. Yet a stay in Piyaya is not about luxury; it is about discovery, exploration and nature in its overwhelming totality.

Suyan is a seasonal camp located in a private concession area to the east of the Serengeti.
