Stone Town and was once a royal
residence before becoming The
English Club. It was beautifully
restored and renovated and retains
an ambience reflecting its rich
historical past. It features the
Tradewinds Restaurant, the Sunset
Grill, the Sunset Bar which offers
stunning views as the sun sets
over the Indian Ocean and a library
which has a rare collection of
historical books.
Accommodation is in 15 deluxe
rooms with ensuite bathrooms which
offer great views across the rooftops
of old Stone Town or the Indian
Ocean. Each room is equipped with
an individually controlled air
conditioning unit, satellite television,
international direct dialling
telephones, hairdryer, mini fridge,
room service, laundry service
and complimentary tea and coffee
making facilities.

Baghani
House Hotel
Baghani House Hotel is a small
and cosy bed and breakfast accommodation
in Stone Town. It is located minutes
away from all the major attractions
on the historical island. Baghani
House Hotel was originally home
to influential Zanzibaris and
this is evident from the architecture
and furniture. The walls are tastefully
decorated with framed black and
white pictures of famous movers
and shakers from Zanzibar Island
and Tanzania mainland from years
gone by and with beautiful copper
decorative trays.
Accommodation is offered in eight
air conditioned and comfortable
rooms with ensuite showers. Some
of the rooms have balconies overlooking
the rear of the hotel from where
you can see the stone town houses.

Beyt
al Chai
Built on 3 floors, Beyt Al Chai
was at one time a tea house. Allowing
you to experience the ambience
of Stone Town in a peaceful setting,
it features a small courtyard
area on the first floor where
breakfast is served and a spacious
lounge which has Zanzibar beds
for lounging as well as settees
and assorted comfortable chairs.
In order to maintain the character
of this antique building, there
are no bars or restaurants - but
there is a wide variety of these
close by in the Stone Town.
Accommodation is offered in six
ensuite, air conditioned bedrooms/suites
in 3 categories. The two Sultan
"Suites" are on the
top floor and have good views
over the square and out to sea.
They are large and furnished with
antique and traditional Zanzibari/Arab
furniture. The three Prince Rooms
are 25 square metres and have
a separate dressing area. The
Princes Room is smaller and normally
occupied on a single basis. Beyt
al Chai is an ideal venue for
relaxation. |

Located in the heart of Stone

Mbweni Ruins Hotel is situated on a beach in the outskirts of Zanzibar town, in botanic gardens by the Indian Ocean shores. house of fine architectural design
near the bustling fish and fruit

solid furniture and elegant lamps
the atmosphere is truly unique
and inviting. The Café
serves a variety of coffee creations,
which are all based on our own
coffee production on Zanzibar
and the highlands of Tanzania.

roasting room, the house offers
ten individually furnished and

Zanzibar Palace Hotel
Zanzibar Palace Hotel is an old Sultan's palace situated within Old Stone Town. Accommodation is offered in 9 rooms on 4 floors, decorated to reflect the diverse cultures and heritage of Zanzibar. Some rooms have balconies with views over town and out to the ocean. The room sizes vary from 25 square meters on the lower floor to 70 square meters on the upper floors with either views of the town or the ocean. One of the rooms has a staircase to an open air bathroom which has a sundeck, one of the highest points in Town from where the sun can be seen rising and setting.
