 Buhoma Lodge
Buhoma Lodge
is a small lodge situated less than five minutes walk away from the National Park offices in Buhoma, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home of the mountain gorilla in Uganda. It offers en suite accommodation in eight spacious twin & double traditionally built cottage with individual verandahs allowing excellent views towards the pristine tropical rain forests. All bathrooms have hot and cold running water and flush toilets. A solar system provides for lighting and for video and camera charging. This is one of the most established accommodation facilities in the area, situated on the site of the original “homestead” within what is now the National Park. A brand new elevated lounge / dining / bar area with views of the forest is also now in use. The emphasis is on providing an intimate, homely atmosphere whilst at the same time ensuring that facilities and services expected by international travelers are available.
The cool evenings are compensated for with a fireplace in the elevated lounge area, with comfortable couches providing a cosy environment for guests to relax. Meals are freshly prepared and wholesome quantities are served. A variety of international dishes are served as well as local dishes such as matoke and g-nut sauce, on request. Included are unlimited hot beverages which are available all day on a self service basis and are delivered to your cottage with early morning wake up calls as required.

Bwindi Volcanoes Lodge
Volcanoes Lodge at Bwindi is on the edge of Buhoma village alongside Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the far west of Uganda. The lodge is set on a hillside above a river, overlooking lush rainforest opposite. It is the perfect base for visits to the national park and as a starting point for gorilla tracking. The lodge’s accommodation is in eight large beautifully constructed thatched cottages with en-suite facilities. The ‘bucket’ shower and ‘long-drop’ toilet are practical and similar to those found in remote safari camps. Each of the cottages has its own verandah which, like the bar and dining room, looks across to the forested hillside on the opposite bank.

Gorilla Forest Camp
This luxury camp set on a steep hillside (this means lots of steps!) just inside Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. It is built into the thick secondary rainforest and, since it is close to the Park entrance and briefing point, is the perfect starting point to track gorillas.The camp’s accommodation is in eight large tents, with en-suite facilities and a separate bathroom with the amazing experience of a bathtub looking out into the rain forest. The tents are exceptionally spacious made even more so by a large wooden deck where guests can relax or experience private dining. There is also a large dining area and bar.
