 Bulago Island
Bulago Island is situated on Lake Victoria, close to both Kampala and Entebbe International Airport. Bulago Island is reached either by motor launch - a 40 minute journey - or by light aircraft from Entebbe - a 10 minute journey. The Island has over 300 species of birds to watch, otters play along the shores, and the nature trails provide wonderful opportunities for observing nature at her best. The 500 acre private island has a wide range of terrain, from rugged hills to open grassland to golden sandy beaches to gentle cliffs to areas of tropical forest.
It consists of 6 cottages with hot showers, flushing toilets and a plentiful supply of cold drinks and ice. A bar and restuarant are situated in the grounds of the lodge. Care is taken to ensure mosquitoes do not trouble guests. A range of watersports, fishing trips for giant Nile Perch and pony trekking can be offered.
