Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro Crater

Nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara National Park is stunningly beautiful. In the heat of the day, the famous tree-climbing lions of Lake Manyara might be seen stretched on the branches of flat-topped acacia trees. Enjoy the lovely views of the lake which attracts more than 400 species of birds, including flamingos and pelicans. Watching elephants, buffalo, and hippo in one of the mud pools provides for some wonderful

safari moments, and the backdrop of the escarpment adds a spectacular component to the scenery.

The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the natural wonders of the world; its spectacular rim constantly in view as you search for wildlife on the crater floor. The plains and swamps are home to a wide variety of animals, and sightings of the Big Five – lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard – are frequent. The conservation area is also home to the Masai people and their cattle, which co-exist with the existing wildlife in a unique ecosystem.

The Serengeti is the jewel in the crown of Tanzania's parks and undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world. With countless predators including lion, cheetah and leopard, more than two million wildebeest, half a million Thomson's gazelle, and a quarter of a million zebra, it has the greatest concentration of wildlife on our planet.

Between late December and March, you will be able to witness the great migration

of more than 1 million wildebeest and zebra during the spectacular calving season. Between May and July you might be lucky to witness the fascinating spectacle of thousands of Wildebeest and Zebras crossing the crocodile infested Grumeti River together with their new born. Zanzibar Stone Town

Stone Town, the old city and cultural heart of Zanzibar, has hardly changed in the last 200 years. It is a place of winding alleys, bustling bazaars, mosques and grand houses, whose original owners competed with each other over the extravagance of their dwellings, which is reflected in the beautiful brass-studded, carved, wooden doors. You can spend many wonderful hours and days exploring this fascinating town, just wandering through the labyrinth of narrow streets and alleyways.
