While our management and operations team comes from diverse backgrounds including strategy consulting, travel management, and economic litigation consulting, the one common characteristic we share is a love and passion for travel. The Enchanting Africa Team

 

Florian Keller, Managing Director

Working at Monitor Group, a leading strategy consulting firm, for more than eight years, Florian gained a wealth of experience in a wide range of emerging markets in South America and Africa and spent three years managing and coordinating strategy projects in several African countries. During this time, he discovered that his true passion is exploring hidden and fascinating corners of our world and sharing his excitement about the many beautiful places with other people enabling them to experience facets of our world they didn’t know exist.

Parikshat Laxminarayan, Director

Parik has a background in finance, business development and international tennis. Prior to completing his MBA at INSEAD, Parik led several consulting projects at Analysis Group, a boutique economic litigation consulting firm in Washington, D.C. As managing director of Enchanting-India, Parik is very experienced in managing a boutique travel company. An avid international traveller himself, Parik has a strong passion for tourism and a broad knowledge of East Africa.

Alexander Metzler, Enchanting Africa

Before joining INSEAD, where he completed his MBA, Alex worked as a project leader at Monitor Group, a top-tier strategy consulting firm. He successfully led brand upgrade, sales force effectiveness, market expansion, pricing and customer segmentation projects as well as turnarounds. As managing director of Enchanting-Travels, Alex has a lot of experience in setting-up and running a business focusing on high-end tailor-made travel. Alex will go the extra mile to ensure that all customers of Enchanting-Africa have a truly enchanting travel experience.

Sammy Lijoodi, Guest ManagerSammy Lijoodi, Guest Manager

Sammy studied Tour Guiding and Administration at the Kenya Utalii College, one of the most renowned tourism training centres in the world. After graduation, he did diploma courses at the Goethe Institut in Nairobi and worked for six years as a professional German speaking tour leader for various tour and travel firms in Nairobi and Mombasa. He also worked as a lecturer at the Kenya Utalii College and Wildlife Clubs of Kenya’s Centre for Tourism. A passionate traveller and nature enthusiast, he brings his wealth of experience in tourism within East Africa to Enchanting- Africa.

Sabrina Lindner, Senior Travel Consultant

Sabrina has been living in Kenya since 2004, where she has been working as an actress as well as participating in several developmental and social projects. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Gender and Development in December 2008, at the University Nairobi. Sabrina has always had a particular interest in travelling, because she loves new experiences in every aspect.

Joan Kenda, Travel Consultant and Guest Coordinator

Joan is currently pursuing a Diploma in Business Management at Wisemen College, Nairobi. Before joining Enchanting-Africa, she worked with Kims Events, an Events Management company as an Assistant Event Coordinator and dealt with people from diverse backgrounds. This gave her a first hand experience in dealing with different people. I enjoy interacting with people, travelling, adventure and discovering new destinations.

Omondi Amimo, Travel Consultant

Amimo holds a degree from Kenyatta University. Prior to joining the Enchanting Africa team, he worked at various institutions including The Kenya Utalii College, The German School Nairobi as well as wrote for a couple if Kenyan Magazines. He's currently pursuing advanced German Language Courses at the Goethe Institut

Joyce Gakii Raichenah, Travel Consultant and Guest Coordinator

Gakii graduated with a B.A. in Sociology and French from Kenyatta University. Before joining Enchanting-Africa she worked as a Dance Studios Manager with Blaze Entertainment Ltd. Having traveled much within Kenya and lived outside Africa briefly, she is passionate about traveling and enjoys discovering ‘hidden gems’ throughout the world. She brings on board her enthusiasm for life, people and professionalism.

Benedict Kevondo, Assistant Travel Consultant / Airport Representative

Having pursued a degree in Political Science and German Studies at the University of Nairobi, Benedict got a major interest in International Relations. Before joining Enchanting-Africa, he travelled through Eastern Africa and briefly to Europe. Through his interactions, he got to learn the different cultures of different people and looks forward to share this interesting experience with Enchanting–Africa guests.

Leocardie Ombasa, Reservations

A surprise balloon safari at the Masai Mara is what interested Leocardie in the world of Tourism. She joined Enchanting-Africa after completing her Bachelor of Education degree where she focussed on German and Business Administration. She has a background in teaching German and has also worked with Innscor (K) Ltd in the Customer Relations department, an experience that equipped her with an understanding of the diverse needs of customers from different cultural backgrounds. With this in mind, she boasts of not only reserving the best lodges for Enchanting-Africa guests, but also those that are in tandem with their expectations.

David Murugo, Office and Accounts Assistant

David has worked with Kate n Karen Safaris as the Office/Accounts assistant before joining Enchanting Africa. He has a passion for Accounting and looks forward to learning more from Enchanting Africa and also sharing the gained knowledge with colleagues and guests. He is currently studying Accounting on part time.

Richard Wambua, Assistant Travel Consultant

A graduate of the University of Nairobi and ABE, Richard has a background in Mathematics and Business Management. Prior to joining Enchanting-Africa, he worked at Morex Media. Richard has always had a passion for travel and adventure. He also enjoys hiking and safaris and is happy to bring the exciting African experience to Enchanting-Africa Guests.

Margaret Wambui, Travel Consultant and Guest Coordinator

Wambui has a B.A Double Major Degree in Tourism and Communications from the University of Nairobi. She formally worked with Northern Rangelands Trust, a community conservation NGO Operating in Northern Kenya with 15 Community Conservancies in over 6 Districts. She has gained Sales and Marketing experiences from working with Standard Chartered Bank as a Direct Sales Agent. Her responsibilities included prospecting for new guests as well as product promotion. Wambui carried out her internship at Kenya Airways, Corporate Communications Division. She is really passionate about Tourism, and all set to bring Tourists dreams of African expedition a memory they will treasure…..for life!

Carolyne Karanja,Assistant Travel Consultant / Airport Representative

Carolyne pursued a Bachelor of Education in Science specialising in Botany and Zoology at Kenyatta University. She has a wealth of knowledge of wildlife and nature owing to fieldwork and travel to various national parks in Kenya. Before joining Enchanting Africa she taught Biology at Bristar Girls High School. She enjoys discovering new enchanting places and is therefore passionate about sharing this experience with Enchanting Africa and it's wonderful guests.

Joshua Odero Aseto, Assistant Travel Consultant and Guest Coordinator

Joshua graduated with a Bachelor of Education Degree from Kenyatta and has also attended German language courses at Goethe Institute in Nairobi and Bonn. He brings to Enchanting Africa experiences from teaching and interacting with students, knowledge of East Africa and a passion for Tourism.

Jean-Avis Makena, Assistant Travel Consultant

Jean Avis has a background in teaching German. She did her bachelor of Education in German Studies at Kenyatta University and is still pursuing diploma courses at the Goethe Institut in Nairobi. She has also taught in various institutions in Nairobi. She looks forward to sharing her Enthusiasm and knowledge of Kenya with the Enchanting-Africa guests.

Ivy Nyaga, Assistant Travel Consultant

Ivy has an Advanced Diploma in Business Management from the DALC Institute based in Nairobi. She also has a German Diploma known as TestDaf. She has great experience in the German culture and most of all in the german language, having lived in Hamburg for ten years. She is happy to be able to share her experiences from both sides of the world with ‘Enchanting-Africa’ guests.

Margaret Kamakey, Reservations

Margaret has a Diploma in Sales and Marketing from the Kenya Institute School of Management. On graduating from college she worked for the Kenya cooperative Creameries, one of the biggest milk processors in the country, as a Sales and Marketing representative. Later on while working for Munira Island Camp as a Reservations Executive, she developed an interest in tourism and had the opportunity to interact with both local and overseas travellers as well as tour operators. With her experience in handling reservations, she looks forward to making Enchanting Africa's guests holidays a dream come true.

Peter Wakhu, Pricing & Business Analyst

Peter graduated with Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Sociology from Nairobi University. He has volunteered with African Touch, an NGO involved in the rehabilitation of street kids. He also worked as an assistant accountant with Bloomerg Company, a computer firm dealing with sales of Computers and computer accesories. Before joining Enchanting Africa, he was working with AIG Insurance Company as an Underwriting travel insurance clerk. He is a team player, passionate about excursions and adventure.

Joan Wanja, Reservations

She joined Enchanting-Africa after completing her BA Degree at the University of Nairobi. She aims to listen to Enchanting Africa guests, understand and pay attention to every little detail involved in reservations processes, in a bid to make their stay in the carefully selected Lodges and Hotels as hustle-free and memorable as possible.

Ann Gathoni, Finance Manager

Ann is a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya, currently undertaking Bachelor of Commerce at KCA University. Before joining Enchanting Africa, Ann worked as The Finance Officer for a Non Governmental Organization undertaking a USAID project. Her hobbies are watching football, listening to music She hopes to learn and share more as she grows together with the Enchanting Africa family.

Boniface Muthui, IT / Accounts Assistant

Boniface Studied Computer Maintenance & Troubleshooting at the Institute of Advanced Technology in Nairobi. He is humble, alert, and a team player who is fascinated by traveling. He enjoys going out and interacting with people from all walks of life. He believes working at Enchanting Africa has given him a promising career with a bright future. He is currently studying accounts at Strathmore University.

Roselyne Achieng, Assistant Travel Consultant

Roselyne has a background of running small business. She worked in an Indian home as a cook and a cleaner for 3 years before joining Enchanting - Africa. She enjoys working in a small team and able to work independently with little supervision, comfortable in an informal work environment. She looks forward to sharing her knowledge of Kenya with Enchanting-Africa guests.
