| Day: 2 -4 |
Masai Mara |
| Morning Flight
Nairobi – Masai Mara (ca. 1
hour)
The Masai Mara – endless seas
of golden grass dotted with hesitant
shrubs, broken here and there with
the ghostly acacia trees and ringed
by distant hills, the chocolate Mara
river waters with frolicking hippos,
immensely rich animal life including
countless game and large prides of
lions – fulfils the expectations
of any visitor searching the African
landscapes portrayed in movies such
as "Out of Africa". From
July to October, this is the sight
of one of the most spectacular and
dramatic sites on earth - the annual
migration of one million wildebeests
and 200,000 zebras following the seasonal
rains in a quest for the best pastures,
finding along the way the crocodile-crowded
river.

Ol Seki

| Day: 5 - 8 |
Lake Natron |
| Flight Masai
Mara – Lake Natron (ca. 30min)
Driving into the Great Rift Valley
to Lake Natron is an unforgettable
experience in itself - after a 30
minutes drive from Nairobi, the ground
suddenly drops and from the edge of
the escarpment you enjoy a spectacular
view of the dramatic Rift Valley Landscape.
Continuing onwards creates the sensation
of driving to the centre of the earth
- down, down, down ... while the air
temperature gets hotter every minute
and you glide through the arid and
moonlike landscape of the rift valley
escarpment, you come to think that
this journey will never end - and
you don't want it to end as it gives
you an exhilarating sensation of freedom.
Beyond Magadi Town which has the atmosphere
of a gold rush settlement the journey
turns into a real adventure.
Your stay in this part of the Rift
Valley will add to the sensation of
being at the end of the world –
during game drives and bush walks
you will hardly ever see anybody else
and sunrises over the dry Rift Valley
are deeply moving moments, and a sensation
of peace and tranquillity will eventually
let all worries of the world seem
far away.
