Start your journey with a breathtaking flight past the snow covered peaks of Mt Kenya to the dramatic landscapes of Laikipia (1 hour)
Laikipia in central Kenya offers diverse scenery, from the edge of the Great Rift Valley to the peaks of Mount Kenya, with open savannah plains and verdant grasslands, interspersed with rocky hills, rivers, and waterholes. The region is home to colourful pastoralist communities. These tribes people have joined together in partnership with the settlers and ranchers to create a conservation and wildlife haven that offers exclusive nature & wildlife experiences as well as authentic cultural encounters off-the-beaten tourist path.
Laikipia offers some of the most diverse safari experiences anywhere in Africa, with game drives, bush walks, horse riding and multi-day walking & camel trekking safaris. At the same time, the stunning and vast landscapes of Laikipia give travellers the sense of being in a true wilderness far away from modern civilization and therefore are a great place to relax and retreat from the world. Enjoy a unique experience in a stunning community-owned lodge that offers you the opportunity to interact with your hosts and gain a deep understanding of African everyday life.
Accommodation: Il Ngwesi or Tassia

Take another scenic flight over Lake Nakuru and the Rift Valley to the open savannah plains of the wildlife-rich Masai Mara (1-2 hours)
The Masai Mara fulfils the dreams of any visitor searching for an amazing safari experience. The iconic African landscapes, endless seas of golden grass dotted with picturesque acacia trees, are home to cheetah, leopard, large prides of lions, elephants, giraffe, hyena, huge Nile crocodiles, frolicking hippos and many other species.
Wildlife viewing in the Mara is fantastic all year round, and, from August to October it is the sight of one of the most spectacular wildlife experiences on earth - the annual migration of close to two million wildebeests and zebras following the seasonal rains in a quest for the best pastures. During these months, you can witness the dramatic crossings of thousands of wildebeest and zebra over the crocodile-infested Mara river. While you will see most animals on game drives, the conservation areas surrounding the Masai Mara also offer the opportunity for beautiful bush walks and visits to a Maasai village and to colourful local markets.
Accommodation: Mara Siria Camp or Leleshwa Camp

Fly to the Indian Ocean for a glimpse of authentic Swahili culture and relaxing days at the beautiful beaches of the remote Lamu Archipelago (3 hours).
Lamu is possibly one of the most relaxing places on earth. Lamu is also the name given to the only town on Lamu island. Established in the 14th century, Lamu has been a trading town between Arabia and India for hundreds of years. It is the oldest surviving Swahili town in Kenya, and still retains its vibrant culture, charm, and a way of life from its unique past.
Even today, there are no cars on the island, because the streets are only wide enough for donkeys and pedestrians. In the evenings, the aroma of thick coffee permeates the atmosphere; old men sit together philosophizing on the front steps of their houses, and little boys chase one another, darting in and out of quaint shops that line the main street. Lamu is a fascinating place with a very peaceful atmosphere.
Accommodation: Banana House or Baytil Ajaib

A 5-7 hour cruise on a traditional sailing dhow through the Lamu Archipelago will bring you to the beautiful Kiwayu Island.
Kiwayu Island is the most remote and pristine island in the Lamu Archipelago in the far north of the Kenyan coast. White coral and virgin beaches stretch for miles, with crystal clear water at all times. Snorkelling over a myriad of unspoilt coral reefs, wind surfing, laser sailing, water skiing, picnics, deep-sea fishing and exploring the mangrove forests, caves and coves are all available.
Dolphins and whales are seen regularly off the coast of Kiwayu, moving in shoals across the ocean. There are also two villages on the Island that can be visited and allow an authentic experience of contemporary coastal life. The mainland borders on the Boni and Dodori game reserves and guests can have a break from their their island experience with game drives or walks on the mainland.
Accommodation: Munira Island Camp or Kiwayu Safari Village

Enjoy your last day on the Indian Ocean before taking an afternoon flight back to Nairobi for your onward journey or for your flight back home.
