Fly-in safari and picture postcard beaches in Kenya
Nairobi - Amboseli - Lewa - Masai Mara - South Coast – Nairobi
Day 1 - 2 Amboseli
Delhi

A short 45 min flight or a scenic 4 hour drive from Nairobi brings you to Amboseli National Park at the base of Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa.

The name Amboseli is derived from the Maasai word 'em-posel' for the salty dust found on the seasonally flooded Amboseli "lake" when it rains. Amboseli's swamps, plains, woodlands and bush country support a diversity of wildlife ranging from the minute and rare spectacled elephant shrew to the huge bulk of the African Elephant, the Geremuk and the Fringe-eared Oryx. The swamps and lakes are also home to over 400 bird species making the park a paradise for bird watchers.

In addition to game drives, enjoy beautiful early morning or late afternoon bush walks with clear views of Kilimanjaro or visit a small Masai village outside the park for a glimpse of authentic African everyday life.

Accommodation: : Porini / Tortilis
Day 3 - 5: Lewa
Delhi

Take an early morning flight via Nairobi to Lewa in central Kenya.

Lewa is a privately owned Wildlife Conservancy situated against the dramatic backdrop of the snow-covered massif of Mt Kenya and with the magnificent Northern Frontier District stretching out to the North. Lewa offers spectacular scenery, superb game viewing and a wide variety of activities such as game walks and horse riding.

With wildlife densities as high as anywhere in Africa, it is possible to see all of Africa’s Big Five on Lewa, and the conservancy provides a refuge for several endangered species such as White Rhinos.

In addition to day and night game drives, enjoy memorable bush walks and fantastic horse riding safaris which allow you to get amazingly close to zebra and giraffe.

Accommodation: Lewa Safari Camp / Lewa Wilderness Camp
Day 6 - 8: Masai Mara
Delhi

Take a scenic flight which gives you an wonderful bird’s eye perspective of Mt Kenya, the breathtaking Rift Valley and the wide open plains of the Masai Mara (1 hour).

The Masai Mara fulfils the dreams of any visitor searching for an amazing safari experience. The iconic African landscapes, endless seas of golden grass dotted with picturesque acacia trees, are home to cheetah, leopard, large prides of lions, elephants, giraffe, hyena, huge Nile crocodiles, frolicking hippos and many other species.

Wildlife viewing in the Mara is fantastic all year round, and, from August to October it is the sight of one of the most spectacular wildlife experiences on earth - the annual migration of close to two million wildebeests and zebras following the seasonal rains in a quest for the best pastures. During these months, you can witness the dramatic crossings of thousands of wildebeest and zebra over the crocodile-infested Mara river.

While you will see most animals on game drives, the conservation areas surrounding the Masai Mara also offer the opportunity for beautiful bush walks and visits to a Maasai village and to colourful local markets.

Accommodation: Entim Camp / Salas Camp
Day 9 - 13: South Coast
Delhi

After a beautiful morning game drive, take a flight directly to Kenya’s South Coast, with great views of the Great Rift Valley and, if skies are clear, the iconic landmark of Mt Kilimanjaro on the horizon.

Diani Beach is just 40 kilometers from Mombasa and has often been described as one of the most beautiful beaches in the World - 10 kilometers of brilliant white sand along the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean.

Gallu Beach right next to Diani beach is a paradise of brilliant white beaches, contrasting with tall swaying palm trees and the turqoise blue waters of the Indian Ocean. Much quieter than the neighbouring Diani Beach, Gallu is the ideal place for relaxing away from tourist crowds and beach boys.

If you are active, you can enjoy an amazing array of watersports including diving, snorkeling, sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, kayaking and fishing. You can also go for an excursion swimming with dolphins and snorkelling or diving in Kisite Marine National Park. Alternatively, explore Mombasa city, visit the local Digo tribe or go on a day’s excursion to the Shimba Hills National Reserve for bird watching in a tropical rain forest.

Accommodation: Pinewood / Waterlovers
